Manufacturing group are looking for a Materials Manager for their East London facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

a). Planning production in line with sales requirements and within the constraints of jigs and fixtures
b). To provide production with accurate and timely production schedules
c). Ensuring that raw materials are ordered to support the production plan
d). Managing the order placement and delivery to ensure that stocks are kept at optimal levels
e). Ensuring data integrity is maintained to ensure that production can be supported on an uninterrupted basis
f). Ensuring efficient and cost effective transportation of components
g). Ensuring appropriate safe storage and movement of components to support production and eliminate delays
h). Train, support and motivate staff to ensure quality commitment
i). Prepare budget and control overheads in line with budget
j). Manage stock run-outs and obsolescence when engineering changes take place and new products are introduced
k). Manage business risks, ensuring compliance with ISO quality system and OSH Act

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bsc Degree – Mechanical Engineering OR B.Tech
2. 5 to 10 years experience in a MRP Manufacturing environment
3. 5 years management level experience
4. Lean manufacturing experience & stock management is a essential
5. SAP Experience
