Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

Timeous delivery of RAW materials
• Ensure that materials are delivered according to the order.
• Report on deviations and date to be resolved
• Maintain orderly expedite records and supplier performance.
• Collate all invoices, delivery notes etc. For payment, investigate and resolve all differences timeously
• Ensure all documentation is in accordance with company procedures.
• Monitor material replenishment program on SAP.
• Taking stock of stock items
• Obtain quotes for MRO purchases
• Maintain high standard of expedite
• Ensure weekly receipt of expedite print from SAP system.
• All supplier to confirm delivery dates and report on all.
• Follow up queries regarding early / late supply.
• Inform Senior Buyer of possible future supply problems.
• Maintain good customer relationship.
• Effective communication
• Ensure good communication with supplier.
• Attend weekly review meeting with Senior Buyer
• Teamwork (Mission directed work teams)
• Actively take part in team meetings.
• Update charts as assigned.
• Support and apply the values of the company.
• 6 Quality management systems
• Ensure compliance to the QMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRC, IFS, HACCP, Organic, ISO 17025, SANS 1841) if applicable
• Ensure crew complies and adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, work instruction and SOPs at all times
• Accept the role of HACCP team member (if required)
• Accept the role of Food defence team member (if required).

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

• ND (NQF 5): Supply Chain, Operation Management, Procurement or similar.
• 3 years buying experience.
