Job Description:
Mechanical Buyer - Mechanical and Electronic Components

Technical Procurement - Engineering Buyer
Perform procurement functions for fabrication of mechanical items and electronic components.

Responsible for coordinating procurement activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to acquire inventory from qualified suppliers.

Must be able to read and understand technical drawings
Must be proficient in the MRP process
Must be proficient in the assessment of Subcontractor abilities and component manufacture capabilities i.e tolerance, fit and finish, machine capability & level of quality
Must have knowledge of environmental surface treatment & coatings of various materials i.e anodizing, gun coating etc.
Proficient in raw material costing.
Must be able to do projected forecasting of products.
Preferenable have a technical background
Minimum 3 years Mechanical and Electronic Buying experience
Must have a valid drivers license
Preferably have a technical background

Salary To Be Discussed R 300 - 320 000.00 p/a

15 days annual leave

Company, has an annual shutdown from 15th December to first working day of January each year, however, this forms part of the 15 days annual leave.

Working Hours:

07:00 to 15:30

07:30 t0 16:00 or

08:00 to 16:30
