A position has become available in Pietermaritzburg for a Mechanical Designer to report to the MD.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Design of automated machinery using 3D CAD (Solidworks) from conception through to issuing of manufacturing drawings.

Research of components, materials and processes to enhance machine designs & efficiency.

Working to business systems in line with ISO9001.

REQUIREMENTS:

Mechanical Engineering Tertiary Qualification preferred.

Solid understanding of automated machinery and basic understanding of electrical principles.

Understanding of machining, manufacturing and assembly procedures for mechanical components.

Proficient in the use of CAD.

Passion for design experience preferred.

Passion for engineering and design.
