We are looking to hire a Mechanical Designer for our client based in Pietermaritzburg. We are specifically looking for candidates from the fast packaging or automotive industry.
REQUIREMENTS:
At least 5 years’ experience.
Mechanical Engineering Tertiary Qualification preferred
Solid understanding of automated machinery and basic understanding of electrical principles
Understanding of machining, manufacturing and assembly procedures for mechanical components.
Proficient in the use of CAD
Passion for design experience preferred
Passion for engineering and design.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Design of automated machinery using 3D CAD (Solidworks) from conception through to issuing of manufacturing drawings.
Research of components, materials and processes to enhance machine designs & efficiency.
Working to business systems in line with ISO9001

Basic Salary R30k per month.
7.5% contribution to company’s pension scheme
Maximum of R2625 towards medical aid with company’s medical aid scheme (Discovery)
