2.13.3.1 Sub-Ordinate Engineer
30% Time allocation detailed Roving inspections/Over Inspections of Shutdown/Maintenance/Breakdown activities
Legally Responsible for all TMM’s
Responsible for Vehicles in Engineering Department.
Set performance criteria of direct reports (Planners/Inspector/TA)

Responsible for completion of RCA’s and Execution of relevant actions.
Budget/Cost Control and financial forecast in utilities department
Responsible for Capex applications in utilities department.
Champion Engineering Monthly H&S Meetings
Annual update of Baseline RA; Procedures; SOP; Work Instructions; Special Instructions
Optimize Department/Equipment Relevant Inventory System (Critical Spares)
Compressors in Plant. Reliability >99%. Compressed Air Quality (%Moisture)
Safety and Legal Compliance to MHSA and Regulations in area of responsibility (Electrical and Mechanical)
Substation and Reticulation Annual Legal Tests/Inspections (Sec Current Injection)
Safety Champion in Area; VFL approach to Safety; culture to be driven down to shop floor level.
Annual update of Baseline RA; Procedures; SOP; Work Instructions; Special Instructions
Project Manager for all Engineering Services; Shutdowns; Repairs & Projects within area of responsibility
Lead Planner/Mec TA/Elec TA/Inspector to achieve Reliability; CMMS Health ; Engineering Standards; Housekeeping; Environmental Compliance; spare parts management; Plant Criticality Analysis; Eliminate Emissions & Spillages.
Execution of Quality Preventative Maintenance; tracking of performance KPI’s that talk to the SAP PM system; in-order to maintain system health (minimum backlog)
Drive Engineering innovations to reduce energy requirement for the Utilities Department
Champion for Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Change Management System.
Take ownership of Rail System Legal Responsibility and Manage relevant service level agreement with expert performing maintenance.
Maintenance of all Loco’s and Diesel Machines falling under Lichtenburg as well as Marion Project and Garage.

Required Skills Profile
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
Minimum 5 years maintenance management experience in the engineering, mining or manufacturing or related industry.
Government Certificate of Competency (Mines)
Must have held Legal Appointment of Sub-ordinate Engineer under MHSA for at least 2 years.
Understanding of complex mechanical and electrical technology and equipment.
