Our client who has over 150 yearâ??s experience in dairy farming and are a major producer of dairy products throughout South Africa. They have a passion for excellence and are looking for a Mechanical/ Electrical Technician (Millwright) to join their team.

Job Specification;

Electrical and mechanical experience essential, including electrical fault finding ability

Previous experience in the food industry is beneficial, especially diary

Ability to draw on Autocad would be a further advantage

Service, maintain and engineering support for the machinery used by the company

Scheduled machine audits and reporting of potential problems

Project management of new equipment

Installation and commissioning of new equipment

Managing sub-contractors on site during installations

Controlling all costings on installations

Report writing and management on service visits and installations

Liaising with suppliers from time to time regarding fault finding on equipment

Minimum Requirements;

• Matric
• Drivers licence – non-negotiable
• Relevant National Training Certificate/National Diploma
• strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• Dairy experience
• Able to work shifts
• Good math, communication and basic computer skills
• Understanding the operations of commercial and residential refrigeration systems
• Reading blueprints and electrical and electronic schematics
• Grasping electrical and plumbing concepts
• Work both independently and in teams as needed
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
