Perform a variety of activities for the design of small plant -: tanks, pressure vessels and associated equipment

Requirements & Skills: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering

Registration with ECSA preferred

At least 3 years’ experience in Oil & Gas or Electrical Industry, with design background

Preferable experience in more than one of the following areas:

Tank Design – API 620 & API 650;

Pressure Vessel Design – ASME VIII BPVC, EN 13445 or AD Merkblatter;

Rotating Equipment – Pumps, compressors, mixers etc.

Conveyor Systems – Ducting, belts, rollers, chains etc.

Fire Protection Systems - NFPA

Position Summary:

Creating and updating of equipment datasheets for tanks, vessels, piping equipment firefighting equipment and rotating

equipment

Performing and updating of design calculations for tanks, vessels and general equipment

Checking of design drawings as received from drawing office for design compliance and constructability

Remuneration: R50 000 – R 60 000 per month neg.
