Mechanical Maintenance
The purpose of this position is to lead the Mechanical and Services Maintenance Team we have at the site. Responsibilities are to ensure that the Mechanical and Services Maintenance Performance meets the defined customer expectations of Quality, Service, Availability, Process and Cost. Normal working hours, overtime and call-out duty apply. This position is required to facilitate the day to day maintenance requirements of the site on the mechanical equipment and achieve set objectives including safety KPI’s, OEE and Budget targets.

The Mechanical Engineer will also manage the statutory Pressure Vessels responsibilities of the site
• Plant Safety (SHEQ standards).
• Mechanical Machinery Responsibility.
• Pressure vessels appointment with defined scope.
• Preventative safety actions.
• Provide leadership and training responsibilities.
• Manage Maintenance.
• Manage Services and Civils.
• Manage Projects.
• Control Budgets and Cost centres.
• Manage Condition Monotoring.
• Manage Lubrication Engineering.
• Reporting.
Only individuals who meet ALL the Minimum Requirements will be considered!
• Degree Qualified: BSc Eng, BTech or T4 Mechanical Engineering (N6 ND with a Trade Test might also be considered).
• Proficient in SAP CMMS and MS Office applications.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years' post qualification experience.
• Must have experience in the maintenance environment in a supervisory role.
• Must have mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
• Must have experience in projects management.
• Must have experience with hydraulics, pumps and steam systems.
• Must be able to develop and motivate teams.
• Must be able to develop, train and mentor employees.
• Must be customer focused.
• Must be able to apply own initiative and be innovative.
• Must be analytically with good communication and presentation skills.
• Must have an awareness of the latest developments and changes to the technical environment.
