Location: Polokwane
Salary: Negotiable – dependent on experience

Qualifications:
• N3 or equivalent, with Valid Trade Test (Section 13 qualification preferred)

Experience:
• 10 years related heavy industry experience
• Valid Drivers license (code 08)
• Must be able to pass Red Ticket Medical examination
• Experience on conveyors and crushers maintenance
• Arc Furnace experience would be advantageous
• Own transport

Responsibilities:
• Controlling of preventative, planned and breakdown maintenance works orders for own section.
• Supporting the artisans under his supervision with regards to the successful completion of all maintenance work on plant equipment.
• Control the overtime of his section to be within the limit set.
• Identify training needs for the personnel working under his supervision, and identify candidates suitable for training as artisans or operators.
• Ensure that all safety requirements and instructions are adhered to.
• Standby and overtime

Permanent expected results:
• To ensure that the work given to any specific person is within the skill-set of the person, and that sufficient support and supervision is given as and when required.
• The following up on and ensuring availability of critical spares required for planned repair work and mini-shuts on all plant equipment.
• Ensure best availability of equipment, and ensure maintainability of all equipment in his area of responsibility.
• Maintain a healthy working environment in his section, and ensure discipline.
• Check and approve time sheets and leave of all personnel under his supervision.
• Ensure that all personnel under his supervision are trained on all risk assessments as required for safe operation and performance of their duties.
