Requirements:
- Grade 12
- NQF 3 / Trade Tested Electrician
- Minimum 3 to 5 years' Motor Industry Manufacturing experience
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical & mechanical repairs and general engineering
& machining
- Ability to perform various welds - arc, gas and manual
- Ability to read and interpret technical and electrical drawings
- Working knowledge of single phase and 3 phase electrical equipment as well as VSD Drives
- Ability to build and repair electrical circuits essential
- Siemens S7 programming skills
- Fault finding skills
- Knowledge of production process, CO2 welding, spot welding and automation on Jigs & Fixtures
- Good PC Skills
- Working knowledge of robots, robotic welding cells and laser cells
- Valid driver's license and own transport essential
- Candidate must reside in East London
- Must be willing to wotk shifts
- Must be willing to travel abroad if necessary

Responsibilities:
- Routine and planned machine maintenance
- Identify and respond to safety hazards
- Select, use and maintain various tools
- Attend to breakdowns
- Compile and maintain records of machine history
- Immediate diagnosis of the breakdown problem and identify solution
- Maintain critical spares for the various robots, controller and spot welders
- Implementation and control of the CMMS program, together with the Maintenance Planner
- Program Siemens S7 PLC including modifications
- Assist the maintenance and production team with Asset Care
- Implementation of TPM systems
