Job Description:

Our client has a vast amount of products/services with content that cannot be found anywhere else and that's why they are "unlike" all the other media companies. Their team continues to consistently grow and people all over love and appreciate the local factor they provide. Their training and development program will assure product knowledge and there is plenty of room for growth within the organization.

Key performance areas

• Aggressively prospect, develop, and close leads using a variety of online and offline sources focused on maximizing “vertical” opportunities.
• Qualify prospective customers by phone and close deals over the phone or in-person depending on customer engagement.
• Meet and exceed individual daily, weekly and monthly activity and sales goals.
Accountabilities
• Selling and consulting on advertising sales in the media and advertising industry
• Prospecting and Sourcing new clients:
• Generating own leads (Some leads will be given to you)
• Cold calling and prospecting new clients
• Managing relationships with existing clients.
• Understanding client needs
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients
• Forming relationships with the decision makers
• Growing business with existing clients
• Close deals with clients.
• Managing client Accounts and relationships
• Upselling existing clients
• Maximising client exposure and advising on the best advertising solutions
• Manage administration pertaining to closing deals and the selling process
Advancement
• Agents with proven leadership ability and a strong sales record may advance to supervisory and managerial positions, such as sales manager, account executive, or vice president of sales. Successful advertising sales agents may also advance to positions in other industries, such as corporate sales.

Important Qualities
• Communication skills. Advertising sales agents must be persuasive during sales calls. In addition, they should listen to the client’s desires and concerns, and recommend an appropriate advertising package.
• Initiative. Advertising sales agents must actively seek new clients, keep in touch with current clients, and expand their client base, in order to meet sales quotas.

• Organizational skills. Agents work with many clients, each of whom may be at a different stage in the sales process. Agents must be well-organized to keep track of their clients or potential clients.
• Self-confidence. Advertising sales agents should be confident when calling potential clients (cold calls). Because potential clients are often unwilling to commit on a first call, agents often must continue making sales calls, even if rejected at first

Education, Training and Experience
• Sales Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a hard core sales environment
• Must have a solid track record of high achievement in sales
• Must have sold insurance/ financial related product /advertising/media products
• Experience with selling advertising space (is a strong advantage)
• Confident to build new client relationships
• Self-motivated individual
• Excellent organisational and time management capability
• Excellent people and negotiation skills
• Experience in the advertising industry will be a strong advantage
• MUST have own car and drivers licence
