SALES REPRESENTATIVE
The company wishes to employ a Sales Representative in the VCCC Division in Johannesburg. The successful incumbent would be responsible for VCCC sales in Gauteng North and South, with a specific focus on Pre- Hospital. This position reports to the Regional Manager and National Strategic Sales Manager.
Job Purpose: To provide exceptional service to the medical industry. To ensure that the medical products supplied and maintained meet the most exacting international standards. Professionally serves customers by selling products and meeting customer needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Promote, market and sell company products and consumables as specified by the Sales Manager in order to meet customers’ requirements
• Generate and close sales leads, educate prospects, fill needs and satisfy wants of the customer appropriately and therefore turning prospective customers into actual ones
• Service existing accounts, obtain orders and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors
• Ensure that sales targets are met. You will be expected to meet with your Sales Manager on a quarterly basis with regards to your sales performance appraisal of actual sales achieved vs sales budget
• Adjust content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor
• Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers
• To negotiate the pricing point and ensure quotations are generated in accordance with the Company quoting system, Quote Manager.
• To monitor your competitors by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, merchandising techniques, etc
• You will be expected to attend any internal product training offered by the Company or Supplier. Ensure that you are familiar with the Company procedure and signing of register in this regard.
• To ensure that you are maintaining customer satisfaction at all times and are familiar with the Company procedure with regards to yearly customer surveys and any product recall procedure.
• Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management
• Ensure that all sales leads and quotes generated are uploaded onto the Company CRM system on a weekly basis
• Ensure that all comments and follow-up customer calls related to closing the sale is uploaded onto the Company CRM on a weekly basis
• Ensure that the sale % probability is updated on the Company CRM system on a weekly basis. • Ensure your sales target is uploaded and reflecting accurately on the Company CRM system as agreed by the Sales Manager for your region
• Ensure that you attend all weekly sales meetings with your Sales Manager for your region.
• Ensure that you are familiar with the Company process of removing and returning stock from the stock warehouse and placing it onto your name for the purpose of demonstrations to the customer • Ensure that all purchase orders received by the customer follow the correct Company procedure to get uploaded onto the Company accounting system and correctly dispatched
• Ensure that you are familiar with the invoicing process and that all signed purchase of delivery (POD) are scanned and stored as per Company procedure
• Ensure that the customer / end users receive proper training on all equipment purchased.
• Ensure that proper user training records are correctly uploaded and stored in accordance with the Company procedure
• You may be expected to attend congresses to support and promote products to the customer. Ensure that you are familiar with the congress dress code and your attendance in this regard
• You will be expected to partake in routine Company stock takes. Ensure that you familiar with the Company stock procedure
• Should you be required to entertain any customers or purchase an appropriate gift, you have to ensure that this is done in accordance with company regulations and within budget guidelines.

Skills Required:
• Medical background in Paramedics, Emergency Care would be beneficial
• Having worked in and having knowledge of the sales territory and relevant hospitals would be an added advantage
