*The company wishes to employ a Sales Representative for the Imaging, Ultrasound and Division, based in Johannesburg. The purpose of the role will be to professionally service customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.

Summary of Requirements:

The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following (Not limited to):
• Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
• Ensure sales targets are met.
• Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.
• Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
• Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
• Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
• Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
• Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
• Always Maintain customer satisfaction.
• Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensure all expenses are approved timeously before event

Qualifications
• Min. Grade 12
• Tertiary Qualifications in
o Sales
o Medical

Experience:
• Min. 2 years’ experience in sales, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Sales experience in a medical environment will be advantageous
• Basic literacy, computer literacy in MS Office
• Strong negotiation and influence skills
• Customer orientated
• Territory management
• Presentation skills
• Product knowledge will be advantageous

Ability to:
• to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
• to develop and maintain good working relationships
• to effectively close deals

Requirements:
• Must have own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Must be willing to travel and stay overnight on occasions
• Must be willing to occasionally provide training in hospitals to night staff, either at night or very early in the morning.
