This dynamic private hospital along the West Coast in Cape Town seeks an experienced ICU Registered Nurse, preferably with Cardiac experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver intensive & comprehensive quality patient care to meet the health needs of patients.
• Administer medication as per doctor’s orders & monitor effectiveness & adverse reactions
• Adhere to Patients’ Rights at all times
• Ensure all patient records and charts meet legal requirements
• Control of stock and equipment in accordance with hospital policy
• Ensure a therapeutic environment by maintaining health and safety standards and complying with infection prevention and control policy
• Communicate with patient and family regarding patient care and inform Unit Manager of patient care problems
• Assist with the coaching of junior staff within the Unit

Requirements:
• Need to be SANC Registered as a Registered Nurse
• Min 2 years solid ICU experience
• Cardiac experience will be advantageous
• Good understanding of monitors, ventilators and high tech equipment.
