Mergers & Acquisitions Manager required for a Corporate Finance Company based in Johannesburg,

Purpose of the Job:
Is to involve execution of Mergers & Acquisitions engagements in a diverse group of sectors and include engagements in a number of sub-Saharan African countries.

Key job duties or responsibilities:
• Mergers and Acquisitions, including both buy side and sell side mandates;
• Principally cross border mandates with a focus on mid-market transactions;
• Project managing auction disposal processes;
• Financial modelling for the purpose of preparing of preparing forecasts and information memoranda for the purpose of disposal processes;
• Valuation based on DCF, market multiples, and comparative M&A transaction multiples; and
• Advising on the JSE Listing Requirements, and other capital market regulations pertaining to public company M&A.

Qualifications and Experience
• CA (SA) or equivalent;
• CFA qualification, or progress thereto an advantage
• 1-3 years working experience in related Corporate Finance role;
• Experience in Corporate Finance in an investment banking role, Corporate Finance boutique, or in a professional services (big 4 or mid-tier firm) environment;
• Knowledge of JSE Listings Requirements, and other capital market regulations; and
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, strong financial modelling skills and written communication.
