Our client requires a Metrologist whose responsibility it will be to ensure the measurement and dimensional assessment of all tools, parts, checking fixture and poly and poly patterns to CAD data

KEY JOB OUTPUTS : The key job outputs of the function include, but are not limited to:
Technician Metrology
To carry out accurate dimensional measurement and confirmation as scheduled by the supervisor or foreman
To ensure that all measuring activities are carried out to timescale
To maintain and safeguard the measuring equipment which has been assigned to you
To be an effective team member, working with manager, supervisor foreman, other measuring technicians and also manufacturing colleagues to ensure a smooth workflow with maximum output
To ensure that accurate measuring reports are produced promptly
To ensure that accurate records are maintained of all measuring and inspection activities and updated daily
Customer Relations
Ensure that company procedure, works instructions and quality systems are adhered to at all times
Ensure that work practices comply with the company SHEQ procedures and works instructions
KEY COMPETENCIES: Essential competencies (knowledge/skill) required to perform outputs:
Matric/N3
Qualified Toolmaker
Formal training on PC-DMIS measuring and programming software
Training on Metrology software/and Faro arm would be an advantage
At least three years’ experience on programmable CCM in the automotive industry
