MI Lead
Introduction
Do you have 10 years relevant post qualification experience in financial reporting? A leading petrochemical organisation is seeking a MI Lead Volumes and Margin to manage the period end close reporting of the group?s result as well as preparation of externally reported information for the business.
Description
Facilitate the monthly performance results clearance meetings, preparation of the monthly clearance packs obtaining reasons for monthly, quarterly and yearly variances vs plan, forecast and prior year
Accountable for the identification, development and delivery of key daily, weekly and monthly management information
Accountable for the loading of annual budgets into the ERP systems for these businesses and functions, ensuring this aligns to monthly reporting packs
Support the Master Data Management (MDM) strategy through monitoring and reporting on exceptions to vendors / customers and MI related master data
Provide regular operational performance updates to management, along with recommendations for action where appropriate
Support the MI Manager on data governance and data initiatives and prioritise MDM projects for implementation
Manage all data standards, definitions, quality rules, processes and guidelines and coordinate the execution of data maintenance processes and its adherence to data standards and controls
Maintain overall oversight of the execution of data maintenance processes and its adherence to the data standards
Provide requirements to ITandS to acquire tools and support services required to reporting MI and store, manage, present and dispose of data
Perform the following activities in compliance with defined processes and policies to meet the defined performance metrics, MI integrity and service level agreements
MI repository in business objects and FBW is maintained and fit for purpose to align to user and reporting needs
Report on accuracy, consistency and integrity of master data to ensure it is reported in a timely manner, particularly for critical fields on vendors, customers, stock, HR and GL information
Run master data and management information performance reports, produce management summary and resolve any identified issues such as duplicates or missing key data
Plan and monitor EUC for all MI workbooks in the department to ensure it is in line with required policies and all controls are still fit for purpose - exceptions and risks to be escalated timely with proposals for mitigation
Ensure continuous improvement in Management Information and Master Data Management operational processes and compliance through utilisation of the key metrics and taking / recommending remediation action as required
Drive, monitor and build quality and cost effectiveness in operational activities through technology standardisation, continuous improvement, best practices and data-driven management
Profile
CIMA/CA/ACCA, Honours Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field (CIMA strongly advantageous)
At least 10+ years relevant post qualification experience in a financial reporting and systems role with proven ability in interpreting and reporting on key Financial and Management information. Experience in balancing financial and business needs to deliver business performance
