Junior Developer
Main purpose of the job
To monitor and provide support in the CDW BI Environment with a specific focus on all reports and dashboards for the CCMT Programme – adult and paediatric.
Location
NHLS offices - Sandringham.
Key performance areas
MicroStrategy user management with respect to granting user access and managing user security.
Maintain users on distribution lists for the CCMT programme.
Monitor the automated distribution of reports and provide feedback and corrective action in the event of failures.
Implement enhancements to existing reports if required.
Assist the NHLS BI team with the development of new reports and dashboards.
Assist with developer testing of new reports and dashboards.
Facilitate end user acceptance testing and sign-off of development of new reports/dashboards and changes to existing reports and dashboards.
Required minimum education and training
Grade 12 plus MicroStrategy Training (MCE or MCD) – ABSOLUTE requirement
MicroStrategy Certification - desirable
IT Degree or Diploma or BSc (biological sciences) - desirable
Required minimum work experience
Minimum 2 years experience in MicroStrategy / Business Intelligence (BI)- ABSOLUTE requirement
Additional education, work experience and personal abilities
Knowledge of dimensional modeling/data warehousing and BI Reporting
Computer skills with SQL and PL/SQL skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
