Mid-Level IT Technician / Tier 2 Support Engineer IT – Montague Gardens, Cape Town

Well established company is looking for a Mid-Level IT Technician / Tier 2 Support Engineer with at least 3-4 years’ experience in the IT networking environment.

Salary on offer: Market Related CTC + benefits

Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
• At least 3-4 years’ experience in the IT networking environment
• Preferred qualifications will be A+, N+ MCSA / MCSE / MCITP (2003-2008) certified.
• The position is a roaming support position between various clients and possibilities of being onsite as well.
• Candidate must have own Car and a valid SA Driver’s License.
• Intermediate proactive and reactive work within the client portfolio of his/her team, working with incidents, problem management & change management.
• Assistance with projects at their clients
• Advanced knowledge and experience in resolution of workstation hardware and software issues as well as peripherals.
• Ability to setup connectivity solutions such as ADSL for example.
• Thorough understanding of LANs and WANs and associated hardware.
• Must have a good understanding of Active Directory setup and administration.
• Must have a good understanding of Windows 7/8 and Office 2010/2013 Exchange 2013 and Office 365
• Must have experience in formatting and re-installing all desktop operating systems
• Must be able to troubleshoot printing, office and Antivirus issues on workstations
• Must be able to troubleshoot and install Antivirus products
• Required to interact with clients in terms of supplying recommendations to improve their network.
