Job Purpose:

* Manage and grow existing Data Science team's technical competencies
* Must be business value focused i.e. combine business acumen with
data science principles to address client challenges with tangible and
actionable outputs
* Provide technical support across teams, clients and projects,
ensuring best practice in applied, including sign-off of solution design,
development and execution strategy

Responsibilities, Activities and Key Deliverables:

Address business challenges by leveraging analytics and data science to
provide meaningful and actionable insights to clients.

* Manage client expectations in terms of timelines, delivery of
outputs and the value provided to the business.
* Ensure technical outputs align to business strategy to maximise ROI
* Assist in the development, maintenance and enhancement of
statistical models, including justification for the selection of the chosen
modelling techniques and approaches
* Implement algorithms and approaches for machine learning
* Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using
machine learning techniques
* Establishing frameworks for the processing, cleaning, consolidating
and verification of the integrity of data used for analysis

Job Specific Qualifications and Experience:

Qualifications:

* Postgraduate degree in a quantitative discipline e.g. Mathematics,
Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Data Mining or
related technical field)

Experience & Skills:

* 4-6 years' experience in a technical / data scientist role
* Experience in statistical modelling, machine learning or data mining
practice, feature selection, ensemble methods etc.
* Strong analytical and quantitative problem solving ability
