Duties:

Perform maintenance duties on day shift in the Mills area of the factory.
Perform routine inspection in accordance with acceptable asset care standards.
Ensures Mills are set to achieve optimum performance figures for extraction and bagasse moistures.
Attend to breakdowns with the aim to minimise downtime.
Lead a team of artisans and maintenance workers in the Mill Workshop.
Perform root cause analysis during and after breakdowns.
Work with the planning maintenance system SAP

Requirements:

Matric or equivalent
Trade Tested Fitter
At least 5 years experience in the sugar industry as a fitter, preferably in the Mills section.
Must have sound knowledge of the extraction process
Proven record of high performance.
Sound knowledge of the OHS act, as well as lock out procedures
Honest, Diligent, Attentive, Safety conscious, Team player, Good time keeping habits.
Willing to work on holidays if required
