Milling Machine Operator
Our client based in Vanderbijlpark has a permanent position available for a person with the following:
Qualifications and experience requirements:
• At least Grade 12.
• At least 5 years milling experience.
• Experience on a double head milling machine is an advantage.
Duties:
Milling of steel rolls on a double headed milling machine, accurately and timeously within minute tolerances, while conforming to basic safety, health and environmental standards.
Skills and attributes:
• Accurately read and use measuring equipment (inside, outside and depth mics) – Essential
• Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Work to close tolerances of 0.05 mm.
• Attention to detail.
• Good stress management and ability to work well under pressure.
• Willingness to work shifts.
Relationship management:
• Work as part of the team to share ideas and improve operations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with coworkers.
• Contribute to new business initiatives and projects.
