Our client in the automotive component manufacturing industry is looking to employ a Millwright / Industrial Electrician in East London

Salary R158 - R175 per hour based on experience, kmnowlege & skills

Own car is essential

Minimum requirements:

NQF 4 qualification / Trade test certificate
2. Wireman license (Advantageous)
3. 3-5 years plant maintenance experience
4. Basic Health & Safety knowledge
5. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and electrical drawings
6. Good working knowledge of single phase and 3 phase electrical equipment, and general electrical installations
7. Ability to build and repair electrical and pneumatic circuits
8. Knowledge of production processes, i.e. paint plant, etc.
9. Knowledge of different machine types, e.g. cranes, pumps, conveyors, chillers, boilers, etc.
10. Ability to perform various types of welding i.e. arc, mig, etc.
11. PLC faultfinding
12. Ethernet understanding
13. Good communication skills
14. Basic computer skills
15. Working knowledge of building maintenance
16. Willingness to work shifts and overtime whenever required

Duties:

Ensure that clients have the stock required
2. Performing routine, planned and breakdown maintenance on machines
3. Identifying and responding to/reporting potential problems and safety hazards
4. Selecting, using and maintaining various tools
5. Performing breakdown maintenance operations on PLCs, VSDs, motors, temperature control systems, etc.
6. Ensuring scheduled maintenance plan is adhered to
7. Ensuring that all electrical installations and equipment are maintained in accordance with the current regulations
8. Timeous response to machine breakdowns, quick diagnosis of problems, and quick execution of solutions in order to reduce downtime
9. Maintaining critical spares for the various machines, i.e. PLCs, pumps, drives, etc.
10. Ensuring all maintenance work and repairs are in line with the company’s standards
11. Assisting maintenance and production team with TPM implementation. (Asset Care)
12. Effective management of the allocated maintenance budget
13. Ensuring ongoing building maintenance programs are carried out, i.e. lighting, etc.
14. Training apprentices
15. Ensuring 5S System (housekeeping) and safe working standards are adhered to at all times by the maintenance team
16. Attending to Electrical and Mechanical maintenance work and any other relevant duties assigned
