Our client who is in the Alternative Gas Sector is recruiting a Millwright Technician to join their team in Witbank.

The millwright technician is responsible for industrial gas plant maintenance through fault finding and the repair of gas plant equipment based on knowledge and experience gained in general and specified mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.

*Duties include the following, but not limited to*

- Perform maintenance work at different altitudes
- Working knowledge of electrical systems i.e. use of meters and testing devices
- Ensuring cost effective maintenance through proper preventive maintenance programs
- Drive and monitor maintenance and H&S strategy
- Warehouse and storeroom management.

*Qualifications and Experience*
Millwright (Proof of qualification)
Valid, unendorsed drivers licence with own vehicle
Computer literate – Proficient in MS Office
Min of 3-5 years hands on experience within a heavy duty engineering plant or related industry
Own set of tools to be used for maintenance requirements
Strong technical skills (mechanical, electrical and instrumentation) directed towards fault finding/optimization
Planning skills to improve efficiency
Must have a passion to continuously improve and succeed
Knowledge of techniques and tools
Must be able to work overtime and standby as and when required.
Experience working on large compressors would be advantageous.
Knowledge of Gas piping installations and systems.
