? Grade 12
? Mine Overseers Certificate of Competency (Metalliferous Mining)
? Permanent Blasting Certificate for scheduled mines
? Computer literate (MS Office Suite)
? Valid driver’s license
? 3 years’ experience as a Shiftboss in an underground mine (please indicate on CV)
? 3 years’ development experience in a kimberlite mine (please indicate on CV)
? Experience in a project environment would be an advantage (please indicate on CV)

Tasks and Responsibilities:
? Assess the quality of work performed
? Interact with all mining disciplines
? Drive production and maintenance
? Track projects against plans - monitor project schedules and resource allocations
? Ensure maintenance management system is in place
? Develop and maintain a document management system to ensure efficient storage and access of information
? Work according to the Mine’s Code of Practice and report any observations of this not being done
? Ensure adherence and compliance to SHEQ
Other Skills / Competencies
? Managerial/supervisory experience
? Good written and verbal communication skills in English
? Ability to evaluate mine plans and designs
? Knowledge of Mining law
? Ability to cost mining projects, layouts and conduct financial evaluations
