Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Assess the quality of work performed
• Interact with all mining disciplines
• Drive production and maintenance
• Track projects against plans - monitor project schedules and resource allocations
• Ensure maintenance management system is in place
• Develop and maintain a document management system to ensure efficient storage and access of information
• Work according to the Mine’s Code of Practice and report any observations of this not being done
• Ensure adherence and compliance to SHEQ

Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12
• Mine Overseers Certificate of Competency (Metalliferous Mining)
• Permanent Blasting Certificate for scheduled mines
• Computer literate (MS Office Suite)
• Valid driver’s license
• 3 years’ experience as a Shiftboss in an underground mine (please indicate on CV)
• 3 years’ experience in trackless development (please indicate on CV)
• Experience in a project environment would be an advantage (please indicate on CV)

Other Skills / Competencies
• Managerial/supervisory experience
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to evaluate mine plans and designs
• Knowledge of Mining law
• Ability to cost mining projects, layouts and conduct financial evaluations
