Job Description:

Overseeing and managing the production function and to ensure sales demands are achieved, and therefore ensuring the product being despatched meets the specific requirements
Responsible for quality control (chemical and physical properties), asset availability and oversee capability optimisation
Manage and control KPA’s, operations, admin and HR duties in relation to production and quality control
Cost Management - responsible for the planning of budgets (capital expenditure and departmental costs) and forecasts
Enforce a safe and healthy working environment
Comply with the relevant legislation in the workplace

Minimum Requirements:

BTech or BSc (Chemical Eng.)
5 yrs + exp in a production manager capacity as well as quality management systems experience (within a mine)
Relevant Health and Safety system knowledge and experience
Opencast and relevant mining equipment experience
JDE system experience and business process mapping will be an advantage
