SUPERVISOR (OPUG) -6 MONTH CONTRACT , MACHADODORP, RNEG

GRADE 12 + CERT ROCK BREAKING / BLASTING CERT + COMPETENT A + 5 YEARS UNDERGROUND OPEN PIT EXPERIENCE IN MINING ENVIRONMENT. 6 MONTH CONTRACT.

Minimum Requirements
THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE ARE ESSENTIAL:
§ Grade 12/Standard 10
§ National Certificate in Rock Breaking/Blasting Certificate Underground NQF 5
§ Supervisory Management NQF 4
§ Competent A
§ Computer Literacy
§ 4 to 5 Years relevant experience
§ Certificate of Fitness
§ Valid driver's license

THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE WOULD BE ADVANTAGEOUS OR OPTIONAL:
§ National Diploma; Mine Overseer’s Certificate

ALTHOUGH NOT LIMITED TO, THE INCUMBENT WILL REPORT TO THE SUPERINTENDENT: OPUG AND THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
§ Ensure production targets are met
§ Compile shift report
§ Shift communication report (between shifts)
§ Complete logbook
§ Ensure that mining material is ordered and available in the workplace
§ Inspect subordinates and area for safety and identify registrations to assure legal compliance.
§ Enhance safety awareness throughout working area.
§ Ensure working area and equipment is clean, safe and in good working condition.
§ Ensure and comply with safety standards guidelines, policies and procedures.
§ Declaration of safe working place.
§ Ensure housekeeping principles are adhered to
§ Manage own team’s performance.
§ Train and develop employees
