Northern Cape Province

Kimberley Ekapa Mining JV (KEM-JV) is a joint venture between Ekapa Minerals (Pty) Ltd, Super Stone Mining (Pty) Ltd and
Crown Resources (Pty) Ltd (Petra Diamonds) and is situated in the City of Kimberley in the Northern Cape.

Job Grade: C2

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will be responsible for: trackless mining, production, drilling, charging, blasting, support work and the safety
of employees.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Achieve production targets
Declare working area safe and perform Planned Task Observations / Risk Assessments
Ensure personal and co-workers adherence and compliance to Security and Company’s SHE objectives
Work according to the Mine’s Code of Practice and report any observations of this not being done
Work shifts, overtime, do standby and be available for call-outs

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 10
Permanent Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines / Underground Hard Rock Level 3 Certificate of Competency
3-5 years’ experience as a Miner
Supervisory experience
Valid drivers’ license

Other Skills / Competencies:

Good written and verbal use of English (good communication skills)
Experience as a Miner in a production / development / shaft environment
Experienced and competent on various machines
Be an independent, proactive thinker and have the ability to do own job planning and make decisions
Supervisory/People management skills
