Job Description:

A Mining Accountant opportunity is now available in a multi-national company. A well-known company with head office based in the Cape Town is looking to add to their finance team. This opportunity requires a hard working transactional accountant who is prepared to relocate and travel.



Direct activities such as preparing reports on financial analysis of operations

Summarise the financial position of the company

Prepare budgets and financial forecasts

Calculate depreciation on capital equipment

Evaluate requirements for funds and investment of surplus

CAPEX for Mine development

Initiate cost investigation studies

Develop cost allocations and financial reporting systems

Preparation of monthly management and board reporting

Work on ad-hoc projects relating to taxation, compliance, treasury and finance

Implementation of internal controls and process improvements

Cash flow management and forecast

Annual Budget preparation and quarterly forecast

Plan, set up and direct systems to record accumulated costs of raw material, labour and overheads

Audit plant, stores, and diesel

Forecast production and advise management on the possible target

Prepare the monthly costing report for management
