Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Description: A supplier and distributor of chemicals to the mining industry is looking for a Sales Representative to join their team. The successful candidate will report to the Sales Manager. Key duties includes but is not limited to: establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market; generate inquiries from current and/or potential clients; visit and present to existing and prospective customers; research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential; coordinate sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups; understand the client’s product and logistics needs; develop clear, effective and accurate written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers; timeous follow ups to client and communication to internal teams; expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints; keep abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities and consulting with technical department; attend training sessions when required; give accurate reports every 6 months on progress, business and market trends and training required.

Additional Requirements: Aptitude for problem-solving. Results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite. The following language proficiencies would be beneficial: Chinese (written and spoken), French (written and spoken) or African languages (written and spoken).
Remuneration: Market related.
