Our client in Johannesburg, Gauteng has a job vacancy. They are seeking a Mixer Operator.

DUTIES

Clean the mixing machine before a new production job is mixed.
Collect material in a bag bin using the BIN STATION and printed labels
Log into the assigned mixer with operator and mixer barcode.
Scan the first weigh bag to access the mix in the system.
The scan indicated weight and bulk bags on the Blueprint system until the mix is complete.
Physically mix the bags at the correct, indicated temperature and time specified.
Decant the mixed product into the empty bags allocated for the specific production job.
Store the mixed bags in the scanned bag bin reserved for MIXED PRODUCT ONLY one batch (or job) allowed per bin
Ensure mixed bags are properly sealed to eliminate waste and spillages.
Maintaining overall cleanliness of the mixing area.
Sweeping of mixing work area on every shift.
Picking up waste and throwing it in rubbish bins.
Ensure that health and safety procedures and rules are followed.
Ensure that correct PPE is work at all times.
Adherence to ISO requirements and procedures.
Discrepancies, non-adherence to procedures and problems must be communicated to the process controller ASAP.
Must work shifts.
Arranged overtime is compulsory.
Communicate spillage and contamination to the process controller immediately.
Ensure that spilled mixes are not scooped back into bags, but reported
Effectively and speedily clean the mixer to be ready for the mixes of the next job.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of the following:

Grade 12
English literacy
Mathematics
MBSA competency test
PFSA training certificates

EXPERIENCE

1-year mixing experience
3 – 5 years of mixing experience.
