This International material supply and Construction company operating throughout South Africa and Africa is looking for a suitably qualified Mobile Plant Asphalt manager.

MOBILE ASPHALT PLANT MANAGER

Responsible to direct operation and maintenance of asphalt production

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Monitor material quality, inspections and troubleshoot material;
•Coach and monitor team members on site to comply with OSHA, MSHA and safety regulations;
•Direct and/or perform maintenance & repairs on equipment;
•Ensure maximum efficiency’s for the site;
•Analyse trouble shoot downtime and eliminate or minimize the causes in the future by ensuring preventive maintenance procedures are implemented;
•Ensure accurate record keeping of production process and progress, quality efficiencies, equipment and personnel are kept up to date;
•Ensure that equipment, walk around and site inspections are identified and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained;
•Ensure proper management of aggregate inventory and deliveries;
•Analyse troubleshoot and problem solve situations and challenges (material, quality, equipment, operation/repair, etc.);
•Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and supervisors;
•Manage and direct operation and maintenance of asphalt production;
•Ensure that work is in conformity with standards, accepted principles of design and engineering, and available funds;
•Lead and supervise plant personnel;
•Manage employees training;
•Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance, Lockout/Tagout.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
•Matric with Maths and Science;
•Construction related degree will be advantageous;
•Must have a valid driver’s license;
•Minimum 5 years’ experience on Asphalt business and production;
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in a managerial position;
•Must be computer literate in MS Office;
