My client is looking to employ a candidate that has :

Relevant degree or diploma in Procurement

5-8 years experience of purchasing within a technical/specialised scope of goods

Working knowledge of MS Office

Experience with SAP a competitive advantage

Key outputs :

Procure operations items - maintenance repair, operating supplies (MRO), capital goods and services

Order entry and placement, expediting and processing return of such items

Client liaison

Locate sources of supply

Keep up to date on market fluctuations and new product developments

Assess and evaluate suppliers, inventory of parts and supplies

Skills requirements :

Problem solving abilities

Ability to operate in a high pressure environment

High levels of accuracy and attention to detail

Flexibility

Strong organisational skills

Understanding of total cost of quality
