Municipal Services Design Engineer
Job Description:
Our client is a South African engineering and environmental consulting practice with a complement of some 300 staff, comprising engineers, environmental scientists, specialist professionals and administrative staff, all working towards a common goal: to provide the highest quality of consulting engineering services for the benefit of the community and the environment.
Position details:
The job involves undertaking detailed design of municipal services (sewer, water, storm-water and roads, terracing, platforms), contract documentation and contract administration.
The candidate should be able to travel on short notice.
Profile:
A valid driver’s license is essential. Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, be prepared to work in the field and must have good communication skills. Must be able to supply traceable and contactable references.
Job Qualification & Experience:
Must have a minimum of a BSc, B Tech or B Eng degree in Civil Engineering.
Experience
Must have 5 – 7 relevant years’ post-graduation experience in municipal services design and documentation. Must be competent in Autocad, Civil Designer / Civil 3D and MS Office, especially MS Excel & MS Word.
