Our client is a leading supplier of Vascular Access surgical devices. We are looking for a National Application Specialist in the following capacity.

Primary objective:

Effectively market and convert new customers onto the company’s’ Medical Vascular Access product lines. Initially specific focus will be placed on Central Venous Access products.

• Actively identify a clear strategy for product line growth as well as construct and implement the sales strategies required to achieve this
growth. This includes the preparation of a Regional Business Plan as well as monthly, quarterly and annual sales and profit forecasts.
• Provide active sales and clinical support to end-users
• Assist in the price positioning decision for Regional Tenders and Contracts
• Establish and foster professional relationships with clinicians and other customer groups. Create and maintain a database profiling these
customers.
• Build up a Gauteng KOL network with an interest to support market development.
• Research and report all relevant market information and trends to the VCCC Product Management Team
• Develop and maintain close relationships with cross-functional support departments such as, but not exclusive to, administration, logistics and
product management.
• Following full discussion and agreement, undertake additional projects and opportunities within the company

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years sales experience in the South African Medical device market
• Consistent and demonstrable success in selling medical device products ideally within Critical Care and Anaesthetic environments. Any
previous experience in the Central Venous Catheter market will be highly advantageous
• Tertiary qualification, ideally within the clinical sciences.
• Full SA Driving Licence
• CRICE certification preferable
• Local work permit
