A Contract Manager position is vacant, reporting to the Head National Contracts and Regional Executive, Western Cape. The Contract Manager will ensure the overall delivery of the service and provide the client’s site managers and management with a single point of contact. The general duties of this person would be to regularly meet with the client’s site managers by ensuring general compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract. The overall purpose of this position is to ensure that the client’s needs are efficiently and professionally met at all times.

Key areas of responsibility will include:
• Maintaining good relations between the company and the client with regard to security services rendered
• Constantly evaluating the service levels provided and making recommendations to the client regarding the improvement of services
• Ensuring continuous assessment of the client’s premises and minimising risks
• Ensuring that all Security Officers on site meet the contractual requirements as stipulated by the service level agreement
• Attending meetings with the client and giving feedback on audits/check lists completed.
• Liaising with operational, senior and executive management.
• Submitting relevant monthly reports to the client and management
• Visiting the client premises and conducting risk and security audits / assessments.
• Consult with the client on security risk prevention measures.
• Comply with all health, safety and environmental issues.

Qualifications, experience and other competencies required:
• Matric certificate or equivalent
• PSIRA Grade A registered
• At least 10 years security experience
• At least 5 years managerial experience or equivalent within the petroleum environment
• Experience in ISO / SABS Quality Management System
• NOSA, SAMTRAC or equivalent SHE experience
• Experience in communicating at senior management level.
• Clear criminal record
• National Key Points registered and NKP experience
• Above average understanding of the Firearms Control Act
• Computer literate in all MS Office packages
• Strong planning, leadership and organisational skills as well as good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work extended hours
• Should be able to work independently
• Daily travelling will be required and on a national basis, therefore applicants should have their own transport, valid and unendorsed driver’s license
• Preferably candidates should reside in the Cape Town area or willing to relocate.
