Our client in the Automotive industry has a vacant position of a National Credit Manager to fill. The successful incumbent will be reporting to the Financial Manager

THE PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Ensure credit policies are up to date and adhered to
Maintain Debtors database by deleting inactive customers, updating customer contact details, ensuring uniformity in customer naming conventions, linking customer accounts to account groups and confirming accuracy of beneficiary banking details
Receive and review new credit applications, perform creditworthiness checks and obtain CFO approval.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Must have minimum post Grade 12 Qualification, ideally Diploma in Credit Management

KPI'S (KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
KEY PERFOMANCE INDICATORS (KPI)
1. Produce Reports
o Monthly credit management reports for Exco
o Database amendment reports
o Debtors age reports
o Adhoc as required
o Statements to customers
o Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the credit controllers
? Manage overdue debtors; ensuring bad debt provision is managed within budgeted parameters.
? Implement controls and processes to ensure credit risk is managed within the authority parameters of the Delegation of Authority

Query Resolution
o Manage the query resolution process for billing and credit
o Authorization of credit notes
o Customer interface

Legal Files
o Address all accounts that should be handed over to attorneys
o Ensure that the company legal process is appropriately handled (7-day letter, 21-day letter etc.)
o Ensure that the correct classification is maintained on legal files.

General Management
o Competent members with development capacity
o Provide development input and opportunities
o Provide leadership and motivating environment.
o Encourage and recognize performance.
Working conditions: Will work in an office environment. Travel to PIA branches will be necessary
