Job Title National Key Account Manager (Consumer)

JOB PURPOSE

• The NKAM (Consumer) maintains a direct selling role with South African based key accounts in the Consumer Vertical as NKAM (Pipeline).
• To develop the global and corporate partner consumer accounts by liaising with counterparts in other Regions, the Global industry champion, GV-K and all business field stakeholders.
• Ensures that goals and objectives for each account in the Consumer Vertical are aligned with Dxb RV-K.
• Direct efforts in South Africa for upselling and cross selling on all the accounts within the Consumer Vertical and contribute overall knowledge and market intelligence.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop industry specific business development competence in South Africa.
• Retain and grow the value of the key customers in terms of:
? Overall turnover improvement.
? Opportunity development of all KN’s core services.
? Engagement of key customers in any of KN’s new product development.
? Global profitability of the key customers.
• Pro-active contribution to the regional monthly KAM calls.
• Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
• Ensure all information related to the key customers is current and accurate in the KN Corelog (CRM system) and that all visibility is maintained for the benefit of all stakeholders.
• Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your customers.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
• Liaise and meet with operations on customer’s requirements.
• Identify service issues, initiate corrective action and ensure issues are resolved timeously.
• Attend industry specific conferences and events.
• Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders.
• Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to relavant stakeholders.
• Forecast and track key account metrics.

EDUCATION / DEGREE MINIMUM PREFERRED
Apprenticeship / Vocational Course
Grade 12 Matric)
Bachelors / First University Degree
Other Degree / Diploma

EXPERIENCE (multiple possible)
Leadership Experience
Experience in a global, regional or national key account capacity, with proven a record of business development.(2 years)
Experience within the customer vertical. (5 years )
Industry- Supply chain management experience, including extensive understanding in 4PL.
Industry - International forwarding and contract logistics knowledge.

SKILLS & EXPERTISE

• Have proven industry knowledge of the assigned vertical.
• Have operational experience in one of the core transportation modes being sold.
• Have conducted sales leadership workshops, whiteboard sessions with customers, or process review processes with global customers.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels.
• Moderate level of computer literacy.
