Our client is a leading, global organisation in the fields of auditing, accounting, tax and advisory services and is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Consultant with strong coordinating skills and sound knowledge of Learning & Development practices to join their Talent Management department.

This is a career opportunity for a highly motivated individual who will report to the HR Manager and assume responsibility for all Learning & Development activities within the company.

TARGETED START DATE: April/May 2017 (negotiable based on notice period). This position is based in the Northern Suburbs.

KEY OUTPUTS INCLUDE:

• Assist in the implementation of the National Learning & Development strategy.
• Assist in the implementation of L&D strategies and programs focused on motivating, engaging and equipping all stakeholders in the business.
• Assist in sourcing and implementing relevant learning interventions and experiences as required.
• Document relevant learning frameworks and processes to ensure consistent implementation of learning across all local and regional offices.
• Assist in and co-ordinate the implementation and facilitation of soft-skills training programs and workshops.
• Identify learning and development needs through job analysis, performance appraisals and regular consultation with managers.
• Monitor and follow-up on implementation of all local training plans
• Liaise with and co-ordinate relationships with external delivery partners to support organizational objectives.
• Assist in the research and development of training initiatives in line with business objectives.
• Co-ordinate and monitor all internal development programs including E-learning programmes.
• Monitor and maintain effective administration system.
• Compile and submit all relevant internal and external Learning & Development reports including management information reporting, WSP and ATR reports etc.

YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

• Suitably qualified with a Degree, preferably Honours in Organizational/Industrial Psychology
• 3 -5 years’ experience in coordinating and facilitating in a Learning & Development department, preferably in a professional services environment
• A team player who understands the importance of collaborative team work
• Able to work in a challenging, complex, multi-cultural and fast-paced environment
• Detailed knowledge of skills development legislation, related compliance and quality assurance methodologies
• The ability to support and guide decisions
• Learning and development related research competence and knowledge of blended learning methodology
Experience in the co-ordination of eLearning solutions
• Proven experience of building and developing strong relationships at mid-management level and below
• Proficient in Microsoft Office. Also Desktop Publishing capacity and training content layout design capacity is advantageous
• Project management capability
• Excellent business communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Coaching and internal consulting skills and experience are advantageous
• Strong administrative skills and administrative experience.
• Self-managed, output-driven individual
• In possession of own vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Willing to travel locally/regionally when required.
