Overview

I have an exciting opportunity available for a NATIONAL LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – this role requires a strong, dynamic and innovative leader and you should have at least 3 years experience managing a learning & development team.

The Human Capital Team is looking for a dynamic, innovative & passionate leader who is client-centric and who has the ability to align with the company vision while challenging, motivating and developing self and team in order to deliver learning and development solutions to the business.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and zealous about performance and will have the high energy that the right learning and development initiatives are delivered to the business to achieve its strategic objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead, manage and develop a team of Facilitators to reach their full potential within their respective areas.
Create and execute the Learning & Development strategy and plan to ensure that all Learning & Development initiatives are delivered within agreed upon timelines and set standards in accordance with business and training budgets.
Identify learning & development needs and deliver on suitable learning solutions.
Ensure that BBBEE learnerships are implemented and maintained.
Build and maintain effective business relationships with all key stakeholders by initiating and maintaining regular interactions.
Develop, implement and manage change management strategies and functions.
Keep abreast of trends and legislation aimed at ensuring best practices within the learning & development field to optimise service delivery.
Manage Facilitators with regards to course design, presentations and roll out.
Develop, implement and enforce the applicable policies and procedures.
Implement and deliver on ATR/WSP’s as per the SETA requirements as well as ensuring submissions of SETA reports.
Experience and Qualifications:

Matric / Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or Behavioural Sciences is required.
A minimum of 5 years of working experience in a similar role
At least 3 years experience in managing a learning & development team
Experience working in retail is advantageous
Knowledge of SAQA & relevant Skills Development and BBBEE legislation
An understanding of Adult Learning Principles & Leadership development
A valid driver’s license
Microsoft Office proficiency
