Role:
To provide strategic direction and execute on the commercial and marketing strategy. The business objectives and growth strategy is achieved. Responsible for diversification of both products and regions (new markets).
The individual is responsible for managing the marketing function nationally
Managing both support functions as well as professional management positions.
Full performance management of team, training and motivation of the inland sales team.

Minimum education:
Degree + post graduate qualification preferable
Minimum experience:
+ 10 years’ experience as a Commercial Manager or Sales Executive level. Leadership ability to drive performance within teams.

Critical to the position is financial acumen and a strong understanding of the financial modelling and scenario planning. Ensures that the working relationship between the various departments enable the commercial team to achieve on their objective.

Job deliverables:
STRATEGY
• Investigate, prepare and implement business strategy for international market expansion (Africa and other countries).
• Negotiate contracts and supplier agreements at group and national government level
• Drive the diversification strategy
• Develop and implement regional sales and marketing strategies, reviewing and adjusting strategy continually to meet environmental demands.

MARKETING
• Formulate and implement marketing strategies nationally to ensure a co ordinated

3. Managing internal relationships with Finance, Technical, Logistics and Service departments
4. Undertaking feasibility studies for the introduction of new products to the market
