National Project Manager – Enterprise Development & Training

An exciting opportunity exists for a capable, energetic & experienced individual to manage a dynamic national initiative for 4 months (maternity cover).

You will be responsible for management of one (and possibly two), national initiatives end to end - from planning & execution to delivery of results. Your role will be to deploy a network of head-office and national resources (staff, consultants, service providers) to work with entrepreneurs in order to achieve or exceed agreed results.

Specifically you will support the implementation of enterprise development services (training, mentoring, market access etc) for black entrepreneurs in a range of sectors, in peri-urban and rural areas of the country, in order to measurably improve their success.

Your role will be to effectively deliver the programme/s, on target and on-budget. You are expected to have extensive proven experience in delivering results in the SMME/ enterprise/ supplier development sphere and display the ability & desire to continually improve and enhance your project methods for greater success. You will be reporting to the Fetola CEO and receive guidance in Fetola systems and methodology.

Extensive proven project management skills, effective written and verbal communications, the ability to work effectively without close supervision; to lead a diverse team and be comfortable with technology is essential.

Key Tasks:
• Management: Management & implementation of a new national project/s
• Results: Responsibility for delivering results/outcomes
• Monitor: Track progress & interpret verified results.
• Improve: Design & implement appropriate adjustments/improvements
• Staff: Manage all project-related staff, consultants and service providers
• Clients:Act as Liaison & customer care for key clients
• Quality: Monitor & ensure all quality guidelines are followed
• Records: Ensure project administrative records are up to date and accurate
• Finance: Ensure that resources are managed effectively within budget
• Responsibility: Take full personal responsibility for errors and mistakes in your project.
• Other: Be proactive, engaged and effective in ensuring project success.
Requirements:
• Post-matric qualification or relevant degree essential
• Project Management qualification and finance interest advantageous
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
• Minimum of 10 years work experience
• Driver’s license and own vehicle
• Must be based In Cape Town (Plumstead offices)
