NATIONAL SALES AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – TANZANIA
Leading UK based company who specialise in the supply and distribution of professional construction materials is looking to employ an experienced National Sales and Development Manager for the Tanzanian market. Its mission is to entrench its position as the market leader in the supply of products and services that distinguish themselves on the basis of quality, customer service and value that can be trusted; to have genuine enthusiasm for all that they do, operating from an informal and fun, yet professional working environment that encourages and rewards creativity, insight, team work and motivation; to give service with a smile, a genuine one - and to take pride in their accomplishments and build on them every day.The Company’s objective is to out-perform the annual construction industry average growth trend by ensuring they are the preferred supplier and stockist of quality materials.
A new senior position has been created to take the company to the next level. This requires a high level business manager who understands commercial business, what drives growth and how to give the customers what they want. This person will bring new skill sets and experience to the company which will enable them to raise the bar. Resourcefulness and ability to understand the market needs within the culture and operating norms of a developing African country is paramount to success.

JOB ROLE AND PURPOSE:
• Create Sales and Marketing plan to achieve the growth aspirations of the business.
• Meet commercial objectives of the organisation in respect to turnover and profit.
• Break down sales objectives by product into measurable KPI’s monitored by monthly milestones and in line with the commercial objectives of the business.
• Further break down sales objectives by sale channel A-E. (a. Key Accounts, b. Sales Teams, c. Show Room, d. Projects, e. Branches)
• Manage sales teams
• Responsible for marketing, advertising and promotions and develop strategy to communicate brand values of the company and the respective brand values of key products.
• Manage marketing plans in line with budget.
• Responsible for Advertising and Promotions schedule and budget, and modifying this in line with sales and commercial achievements during the year

QUALIFYING CRITERIA:
? A university graduate with a degree in marketing or business studies is preferred;
? Career experience proving high achievement and leadership in Sales Management which will bring new, capacity building skill sets and experience to the company
? Sub-Saharan Africa experience is an advantage
? Having construction product knowledge and experience is helpful but not essential;
? Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information.
? Proven ability to motivate and lead the sales team.
? Experience in developing sales and marketing strategies.
? Experience in strategic planning and forecasting of sales and budgets.
? Excellent oral and written communication skills, plus a good working knowledge of Sage Pastel (or equivalent ERP software) including sales pipelines is required.
? A valid driver’s license.
