Looking for National Sales Manager for Construction Company with a National foot print. This is a very senior position and we are looking for a highly competent sales management executive with a proven track record in the construction industry.
The candidate must be firstly an exceptional sales manager with knowledge to coach, guide, strategise, plan and execute. He/she will be responsible and accountable for leading a national sales team to sustainable performance by leading by example.
Must be well read and researched on current best practice on all aspects of sales management and people performance, and how that relates to the construction industry.
This role does carry a sales target so the person must also have a current proven sales track record.
This position demands long working hours, extensive domestic (regional) travel and periods away from home in a tough and pressurised industry.
1. Assists with the development of a national sales strategy and executes the sales strategy through effective sales management, planning and guidance.
2. Promotes and secures new business in the public and private sector.
3. Builds and maintains constructive, cooperative and sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Facilitates enhanced team performance, ensures continuous improvement and professional development and function as a subject matter expert.
