A company specialising in Intelligent Transport Systems based in Pretoria requires a Network Administrator as soon as possible.
The suitable candidate must be confident in configuring Servers particularly Active Directory and with a relevant track record in Network configuration, working overtime/standby as and when required, be able to work unsupervised.

Position Description Overview

Maintenance of computer hardware and software systems that make up a computer network including the maintenance and monitoring of active data network or converged infrastructure and related network equipment.

Key Performance Areas
These include the following but are not limited to:
High standard of customer liaison and presentation
Good telephone manner as well as good customer facing skills
Ability to follow processes
Log all calls via the call management system.
Assist with IMAC (Install, Move, Add and Change) relating to hardware and software.
To maintain exceptional service for all support queries
Ability to identify a business requirements and provide appropriate technical solutions
To take ownership of technical problems.
To be pro-active when dealing with requests.
Keep people up to date with requests in progress.
To manage where possible and escalate Back Office problems.
To liaise with relevant third parties to resolve technical issues.
Assist with the purchasing of IT related equipment.
Keep the storeroom neat and organized with assistance of a team.
Prepare equipment to introduce to the customer environment.
Deliver on tasks contributing towards project delivery.
Contribute to delivering an after-hours rotation based standby service.
Be prepared to travel to remote customer sites (local and abroad) on occasion

Roles and Responsibilities
These include the following but are not limited to:
Active directory support
Mailbox administration (Microsoft Exchange, MailMarshal and Mimecast support).
Delivering first and second line technical support to users on all workstations (Notebooks, Desktop computers, iPads, Apple Mac) including
mobile devices (iPads, BlackBerry & iPhones
Maintenance of all hardware on workstations, user profiles and mailboxes
Responsible for upgrading and maintaining end-user software versions and equipment.
Conducting troubleshooting on all reported problems.
Coordinating and completing departmental moves with regards to IT equipment. Assist
with IMAC (Install,
Move, Add and Change)
Participating in IT related projects when required
Ensuring end user satisfaction with excellent service and communication with regards to assigned incidents and requests
Supporting effective teamwork and work as part of a team to deliver service in assigned area
Performing installation, maintenance, incident and problem management activities
Setup and maintain Video Conferencing equipment
Provide advanced technical support for all requests
Providing backup and coverage support
Carry out other tasks as directed by the line-manager
Network troubleshooting. (LAN & Wireless)
Logging and responding to calls on the call logging system/helpdesk.
Supporting users remotely (Homeworkers and Lodge users)

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Matric
A+/n+
MCTS (MCITP desired)
ITIL Foundation
Additional technology related certification

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
5 years’ experience on desktops, laptops, terminals and printers
5 years supporting MS Office Applications
5 years supporting Windows operating systems
3 years supporting users working from Terminal servers
Experience on server
Good people skills
Impartial evaluations
