Task:
Conduct POP internal designs: Floor Plan, Power Capacity Planning and Cooling using Visio/CAD
Compile optic fibre cable splicing plans fo fibre routes and Client connection routes
Manage the accuracy and the up-keep of the splicing records in-line with the feedback from O&M and Projects/Build teams
Monitor fibre capacity, ensuring there is enough capacity to fulfill its business objectives, flagging with planning when capacity upgrade are required.
Allocating floor and cabinet space to clients co-locating in the companies POPs
Manage capacity records: POP Power, Cabinet & POP Floor Space and Optic Cable Routes

Qualifications:
National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Light Current) majoring in Telecommunications.
Must be in possession of a driver’s license for a minimum of a light motor vehicle.
Experience:
Optical fibre network planning and site planning
Experience in implementation and project management of fibre network roll-out is also desirable.
1 - 5 years relevant network engineering experience in a telecoms
