This role will require you to be the first to respond to critical incidents, change coordination, system administration, monitoring and alerting on a 24x7x365 basis. You will be working in a relaxed but professional atmosphere, while also being someone who can demonstrate experience working in a high-pressured environment.

Responsibilities: 

  • Candidates will be expected to take ownership for and provide priority support to all client systems, ranging from critical incidents to proactively working on preventative measures by learning and questioning the status of the platform, taking ownership and ensuring issues are not forgotten following resolution.
  • You will be required to document and share Incident resolution knowledge within the team.
  • You will be working closely with the Project and Technical Engineering teams to ensure applications are understood and that Continuous Delivery activities are carried out in a safe and timely manner.
  • You will be encouraged to apply your own experience and learning, providing a fresh approach to problem solving and process improvement. We would like you to think outside the box, coming up with innovative and unique solutions pushing the bar higher each time.

Additionally, you will need to:

  • Manage and troubleshoot incidents including Storage, Network, Security, VMware Virtualization and IBM/Lenovo Hardware.
  • Liaise with third parties to ensure that faults are resolved within SLAs.
  • Implement changes and new configuration.
  • Update and maintain process documentation.
  • Deliver new customer services per standard solution designs.
  • Contribute to technical lifecycle projects (Security patch management, equipment replacement/upgrade, environment health checks).
  • Respond to alerts per event and incident management processes.
  • Improvement of monitoring and reporting solutions.
  • Work within the team to become an advocate for the services we offer.
  • Support the continual improvement process to enhance service delivery.
  • Participate in the on-call team shift rotation to provide out of hours’ cover.
  • Travel in the EMEA region will be expected therefore a valid Passport and full driving license required.
