This is an excellent opportunity for a NETWORK SPECIALIST (IT) to join a leading Company based in Gauteng. Working with a highly skilled team you will use your knowledge in order to assist clients with any IT and network related issues.

THE ROLE:
In this position you will be responsible for ASSISTING BRANCHES with all COMPUTER AND NETWORK RELATED ISSUES, install and configure PC’s and laptops as well communicate with clients using the ticketing system.

OTHER DUTIES:
• Visit all branches as per prescribed schedule and complete site checklists & audits
• Installation, setup and maintenance of new desktops, laptops, printers and other hardware devices.
• Pro-actively service all workstations and network devices as per service schedules.
• Monitor backup schedules/jobs and ensure successful backups as per the prescribed backup policy of all devices
• Ensure all IT related issues and changes as documented.

SKILL & EXPERIENCE:
• 2 – 5 years work experience supporting Microsoft Technologies
• MS Server 2003 – 2012, ME 2003 – 2013, MS Office Suite, Windows 8 & XP
• Symantec Backup Exec
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Knowledge of MCSA will be advantageous
• The following skills & experience would be desirable:
• Microsoft Certification
• Knowledge of IP Networks, Routing, Switching and Firewalls.
• Knowledge of SonicWall, Cisco PIX & Sharepoint Server
• Strong logical reasoning.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritiSe issues and organise workloads
• Customer orientated, well presented and good communicator
• Must be willing to work shifts
